Kristanja Cene is a conceptual artist based in Tirana, Albania. She graduated from the University of Arts in Tirana with a Master’s degree in multimedia.  In 2023, she co-founded Satellite Zone, an independent platform dedicated to supporting and promoting young and emerging artists. She has curated a number of exhibition projects in Albania and Europe, featuring young Albanian artists on the international art scene.  Currently, she works as a Culture Engagement Specialist at Gallery Of Contemporary Art Tirana. 

As an artist, Kristanja works across various media, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Her visual language blends impressionistic and abstract elements. Her paintings often address social and political issues, conveyed through bold, expressive brushstrokes and dynamic compositions. Beyond painting, she creates sculptural and installation works through welding and the use of solid, industrial materials such as iron and resin. Her process is an act of challenge.
